Dual Credit

Students interested in Dual Credit must apply to and be admitted by St. Philip’s College or Palo Alto College and meet the requirements for the course they plan to take. 

The process includes:

• Completing the appropriate college application
• Completing required Alamo Colleges online modules
• Meeting college-readiness testing requirements
• Submitting required parent/college forms
• Meeting all ECHS and college registration deadlines

Final approval for Dual Credit enrollment is determined by the college.

Students must demonstrate college readiness before enrolling in applicable Dual Credit coursework. Contact your counselor for current testing and eligibility information.

Dual Credit students are officially enrolled with the participating college and are responsible for following the policies and requirements of both ECHS and the college. College credit may be transferable to other colleges and universities, although students should always verify transferability with the institution they plan to attend.

Costs may vary depending on the course and where it is offered. Students should confirm current tuition, textbook and other possible costs with their counselor.
