ECHS JROTC

JROTC helps students build leadership, confidence, discipline and teamwork while developing skills that can benefit them in school, careers and life. Through classroom instruction, leadership opportunities and service activities, cadets learn the value of responsibility, citizenship and working toward a common goal.

Army Leadership Principles

  1. Know yourself and seek self-improvement.
  2. Be technically and tactically proficient.
  3. Know your subordinates and look out for their welfare.
  4. Keep subordinates informed.
  5. Set the example.
  6. Insure the task is understood, supervised, and accomplished.
  7. Train your subordinates as a team.
  8. Make sound and timely decisions.
  9. Develop a sense of responsibility among your subordinates.
  10. Employ your command in accordance with its capabilities.
  11. Seek responsibility and take responsibility for your actions.

Color Guard Request Form

1. The ECHS JROTC Color Guard supports many events throughout the school district and community. To prevent conflicting schedules, please complete this form three weeks in advance to request the ECHS JROTC Color Guard for your event or function.

2. Approval for the Color Guard request will be determined by Command Sergeant Major Grimes.  For questions, please contact CSM (R) Nick Grimes at (210) 634-7100, extension 2135, or nicholas.grimes@ecisd.net.
