East Central FFA is open to all East Central ISD 3rd-8th grade students.  Membership is paid on behalf of the junior member by the East Central FFA chapter, but specific data is required to be added to the membership roster.  Students are encouraged to help with activities the chapter holds such as community service and FFA fundraisers.  Students involved in the Jr. FFA program may show animals, keep animals at the school farm, participate in Poultry and Livestock Judging, Ag Mechanics Projections, and participate in Speech - at major livestock shows.  We have monthly meetings that Jr. FFA members are asked to attend.  Additionally, a Jr. Sweetheart and a Jr. Chairmen will be elected.

What can my child do in the East Central Jr. FFA Program?

Students that are part of the Jr. FFA Program may:

 

+Raise and exhibit animals at the chapter show, the Bexar County Show, and All Major Livestock Show

+Keep at animals at the East Central FFA School Farm

+Judge on the Jr. Poultry Team at Major livestock shows with the chapter

+Judge on the Jr. Livestock Judging Team at the Chapter, County, and Major livestock shows with the chapter

+Develope a speech for the MAJOR LIVESTOCK SHOWS and could be used for other events

+Develope an Ag Mechanics Project for the Chapter, County, and Major Livestock shows

 

All activities may and often do require parents to brings students to the ECHS AG BUILDING.  Additionally, Entry Fees, Animal, and Ag Mech project cost are the sole responsibility of the student

How do I get my student involved in the East Central Jr. FFA?

By filling out the Jr. FF Membership Form and Attending the regularly scheduled meeting, your child can become part of the EC Jr. FFA
