East Central ISD is proud to recognize its 2025–2026 District Teachers of the Year, honoring educators who go above and beyond to support, inspire, and uplift their students. Amanda Torres, fourth-grade teacher at Highland Forest Elementary, has been named ECISD District Teacher of the Year.

Pre-K & Kindergarten Round-Up: What Do You See?

Families are invited to attend Pre-K & Kindergarten Round-Up events for the 2026–2027 school year at East Central ISD elementary campuses. These events offer an opportunity to explore programs, ask questions, and tour classrooms. Free Pre-K is available for children who are 4 years old on or before Sept. 1, 2026 and live within ECISD boundaries.

ECISD Earns “A” Rating for Superior Financial Integrity

We are proud to share that the Texas Education Agency has released the 2024–2025 Financial Integrity ratings, and East Central ISD has once again earned the highest score possible. ECISD received a perfect 100 and an “A” rating for Superior Achievement.

Students Enjoyed Lots of Farm Fresh Fun at Honor Elementary
